SHREVEPORT, La. — Water problems for local residents will soon come to an end.The Caddo Commission held a special meeting and a resolution was past that will ensure that residents will have running water by Friday.
The resolution also gives a six month grace period until a permanent solution can be worked out and prevents the residents from being evicted by the Louisiana Department of Health.
“I am very appreciative for them to be turning out water back on, it’s the right thing to do,” said Tom oaks, who is a resident on wells island road.
During the grace period, local government, residents, and the company Analytical Logging are all expected to work together to solve the problem.
Water service was shut off for Wells Island residents last week after it was revealed that the company was not making payments to the city of Shreveport.
