Arlington Lamar (TX) defensive end and tight end Chandler Spence tells FOX News Louisiana that he has given his verbal commitment to Louisiana Tech University.

Spence chose Tech over Air Force, Virginia, Oklahoma State and Central Florida among others.

Tech is looking at Spence on both defense and offense. During his senior season, he had 42 tackles, five sacks, one interception and two fumble recoveries. Plus, he contributed four touchdown receptions.

Spence also served as punter for Lamar and could be an option on special teams for the Bulldogs.

He was team captain for LHS last season and is the student council president.
