Shreveport, La — Shreveport Police are searching for answers following an overnight shooting in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood that injured a local man.
Just after 9:00 p.m. last night, Shreveport Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3500 block of Ninock Street. Upon officers arrival at the scene, contact was made with the victim 24 year old Tristin Easter of the 3500 block of Ninock Street. Easter was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Easter, who was not able to communicate with officers, was subsequently transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered potentially non life-threatening.
Witnesses were able to provide limited descriptions of two black males observed leaving the scene of the shooting on foot. The identity of the men remain in question; however authorities are confident that as their investigation continues, more insight on the persons responsible for this crime will surface. Upon executing a search warrant on the home, authorities located approximately 174 grams of suspected marijuana inside the residence which suggests that Easter's shooting may have been in part narcotics related.
