The City of Bossier City administrative offices, including offices for City Council, will be closed Friday, April 22, 2011 in observance of Good Friday. Residential trash pickup routes will not be affected.

Tankers caught fire at natural gas well site

Huge plumes of smoke poured out of a west Shreveport natural gas well site Friday afternoon.  It took Caddo and Shreveport fire crews hours to put out the flames at the Chesapeake Energy site.
