Shreveport, La — A local man is behind bars following a domestic dispute that turned violent.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on July 8, 2012 Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Lynbrook Boulevard relative to a domestic dispute. Once on scene, patrolmen contacted 39 year old Yolanda Owens who was suffering from a serious laceration to the head. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered 42 year old Troy Williams, who had been involved in a romantic relationship with the victim, allegedly confronted her outside of her home there on Lynbrook Boulevard and, according to information gathered during the initial investigation, apparently broke a window out of her vehicle and then cut her head with the broken glass before fleeing the scene of the crime.
Williams, of the 2700 block of Amherst Street in Shreveport, surrendered to authorities at the Shreveport Police Complex yesterday afternoon and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated second degree battery.
