Around 1:40 Wednesday morning, Shreveport Police Department responded to a stabbing in the 3100 block of DeVaughn in the Caddo Heights neighborhood, that neighbors say happened in the front yard of a house on the block.

They believe that Vanessa Fields stabbed her boyfriend in the chest after an argument over drugs.

Fields was arrested for aggravated battery.

Her boyfriend was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
