Shreveport, La — Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a local man in connection with a homicide that occurred earlier this year.
On September 27, 2012, a warrant was procured for the arrest of 31 year old Kevin Smith of Shreveport charging him with a single count of second degree murder. Smith was developed early on as a suspect in the February 2012 murder of 24 year old Anthony Crain of Shreveport. Crain was found shot to death on February 19th of this year in the 2400 block of Holly Street in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood.
After several months of intense investigation, authorities were able to gather and secure evidence linking Smith to the murder of Anthony Crain.
Smith is currently incarcerated in the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Jail on unrelated charges. The warrant, secured by detectives, has an affixed bond amount one million dollars.
