Second grader Olivia Towns wanted to make a difference not just locally but on an international scale.

She along with fellow students at Stockwell Place Elementary School spent their day walking to help raise money for a village in Uganda, Africa.

The money raised will go towards helping drill a clean water well for the village.

"Its almost like Christmas to me today, it really means a lot just to know that we are making a difference in the world, its really just a big good feeling," Said Towns.

Airmen from Barksdale Air Force Base also participated.

The goal was to walk 11,000 laps in 11 hours and raise $11,000.
