If you want to vote in the November election, but haven't registered yet, your ship has sailed. All registration had to either be in or postmarked by 4:30pm on October 9.
Caddo Parish Registrar, Ernie Roberson, said that he did see a big rush, but it wasn't as much as he was expecting. On Monday, there were 166,995 registered voters in the parish, and at end-of-day Tuesday, he estimates there are over 167,000 people registered.
Over the last two days, his office has received over 1,000 applications, and at least 700 of those on Tuesday, the last day to register. Lines at the registrar's office weren't too bad; a lot of people took advantage of online registration. On Monday and Tuesday, there were over 600 applications filed online.
