Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — The Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana is still searching for volunteers. Set to break ground Saturday, March 9, the group still needs volunteers of all types.
Thanks to a $300,000 donation from Rogers Waters of Pink Floyd fame, the center will start by building 4 homes for U.S. military veterans who are or were homeless after returning home after protecting their country.
The homes are expected to be done by June 1, so when Waters comes to tour them, he sees a finished product. The more volunteers to help, the sooner the veterans can move into their new homes, and they are all excited to do just that.
