Bossier City, La — UPDATE (9:48am, October 18th): The man who allegedly dragged a 66-year old woman during a purse-snatching at a Shreveport casino earlier this month has been arrested.
Antonio Scott is in custody in the Caddo Correctional Center.
He was arrested earlier in the week in Caddo Parish for a probation violation and on the warrant charging him with the September 28, 2012 purse snatching at the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel.
ORIGINAL STORY (October 9th): A woman was violently dragged during a Bossier City purse snatching at a local casino back on September 28.
Authorities are asking the public to help find the suspect, 24-year-old Anthony Antonio Scott, of Bossier City. A $435 reward is being offered.
Detectives say a warrant charging Scott with second degree battery has been obtained.
Horseshoe Casino Hotel security video shows Scott coming from behind and grabbing the 66-year-old's Garland woman's purse, causing her to fall and break her hip. Scott then dragged the woman across the floor as she grasped her purse. The robber eventually pulled it from her hand and ran out of the lobby into the front parking lot, where jumped in a newer model white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu and sped away.
Scott is described as a black male, 6’ tall, and weighs 170 pounds. Anyone with information that can help police locate him is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
