UPDATE: Missing Shreveport woman turns self in to authorities

UPDATE: The Shreveport woman who was reported missing over the weekend has been found.

Detectives report that Amanda Evans, 39, came to their office this morning after seeing herself featured in the local media and informed them she was okay.

Investigators do not believe any foul play was involved in this incident.


ORIGINAL STORY: The Shreveport Police Department needs your help to find a local woman who has not been seen since last weekend.

Amanda Evans has been missing since July 14, 2012 when she was last seen by relatives in the 1300 block of North Market Street in Shreveport. A family member told officers they saw Amanda getting into a white car with a known female subject. Ms. Evans is a 39 year old white female who stands about five feet seven inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds and has red hair.

Detectives are concerned for the welfare of Amanda, who apparently has some health issues, and want to make sure she is safe.
