UPDATE: Missing Shreveport teen found

UPDATE: The Shreveport teenager who allegedly ran way from home late last week has been found.

Family members of 16 year old Donecia Jones brought her to the detective office this afternoon and investigators report she is safe.

Authorities do not believe any foul play was involved in this incident.



ORIGINAL STORY:
Shreveport Police detectives need your help in locating a teenage girl who has apparently run away from home.

On May 11, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 6700 block of Rasberry Lane relative to a runaway teenager. Upon arrival, officers contacted the child’s mother who advised them her 16 year old daughter, Donecia Jones, left their home there on Rasberry Lane headed for Huntington High School on Friday, May 11, 2012 but never returned after school let out. Donecia has not been seen or heard from since.

Donecia is described as a black female, about five feet one inch tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has run away from home in the past and, at this point in their investigation, detectives do not believe she has been the victim of any foul play.
