Teens learn life skills at Camp Forbing

Thursday, September 26, 2013 - 8:07pm

The 40 members of the Bossier Youth Leadership program spent the day at the YMCA's Camp Forbing. There, the students completed challenges to learn about life lessons including trust, team work, and of course, leadership.

For each challenge, the high school students are give a goal, but it is up to them, as a group, to determine how to achieve that goal.

Many of the students were surprised how the days activities made them into better leaders.

All of the events were challenging, but students said they had a hard time with the ones that required trust, like jumping for a trapeze while high in the air, and walking on a rope. However, the students challenged themselves and we please with what they accomplished.
