Caddo Parish, La — The Junior League of Shreveport in conjunction with Caddo Sheriff's Safety Town are inviting the public to attend the 4th annual Super Safety Saturday to be held on September 21st.
Kids and adults will have the chance to get an up close look at a variety of emergency vehicles including fire trucks, motor cycles, ambulances and patrol cars. First responders will be performing free child passenger seat inspections and showing parents the correct way to install and use the child safety seats. Participants will also learn about water and internet safety, healthy food choices in the family fun zone.
The Fire and Weather house will also be open for scheduled tours throughout the day where parents and kids can explore and learn about severe weather.
Kids are encouraged to bring their bikes to ride around the Sheriff's Safety Town neighborhood and participate in the bike rodeo. The first 500 kids to visit all the designated safety areas with their Pitstop to Safety Pass will receive a free goody bag.
Admission is free for everyone and refreshment vendors, bounce houses and a variety of local entertainment will also be available at Super Safety Saturday.
