Shreveport, La — Shreveport Police will hold a safety checkpoint this Thursday night in eastern Shreveport.
The checkpoint will begin at 10 p.m. on Thursday night and run until 4 a.m. Friday morning. Multiple agencies will collaborate with the Shreveport Police Department to check for impaired drivers and any other violations.
Police say the effort will "emphasize our commitment to make the streets of our city safe for everyone." The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission will be utilizing its "BAT Mobile" as part of the continuing effort to curb the number of those impaired drivers who take to the streets.
