Pharr, tx — A toddler is dead after his father accidentally ran him over Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 400 block of East Nanette Street in Pharr, Texas.

Rupert Vasquez , 49, was taking children to school about 7:30 a.m. when he backed out of the driveway and hit his one-year-old son with his truck.

The boy was taken to Rio Grande Regional Medical Center where he died a short time later.

The case is under investigation. It's still not known if the father will face any charges.
