San Juan Police say it was a high tech indoor hydroponics marijuana grow lab, which lead them to a huge drug seizure of nearly 2,000 pounds of marijuana.

Sgt. Rolando Garcia of San Juan Police Department says, "We are currently working with federal investigators, DEA, and there is a possibility that this case may go federal."

The huge bust all unfolded after police responded to a home burglary off bluebird street, that's when officers noticed a car leaving the area at a high rate of speed, which then lead police to a short chase.

Sgt. Garcia says,"Officers activated its emergency equipment and engaged in an active pursuit with the motor vehicle."

Two males fled the scene, but police were able to apprehend the third male subject who had 216 pound of marijuana inside his vehicle.

Shortly after police placed a search warrant and then came across the huge bundle. Inside the home in plain view they came across 1600-pounds of marijuana and then later discovered a sophisticated grow lab equipped with lights, water, and fertilizers."

Meanwhile, next door neighbors say they were surprised to find out major pot lab was being ran next to their home.

As for the for the male subject who was arrested, police still have yet to identify him. He is currently facing charges of possession of marijuana, evading arrest with a motor vehicle and evading arrest on foot.

San Juan Police say they will continue to investigate and continue to search for anyone else responsible for the running the drug lab.
