A 19-year-old Sibley woman was seriously injured in a car wreck on Monday in Bossier Parish.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m, Louisiana State Police were called to a three vehicle crash on LA Highway 3227, less than a mile east of LA Highway 157.

The investigation revealed a car driven by Aleatha Houston, 23, of Bossier City, was stopped in the east bound lane of highway 3227 waiting to turn left. Another vehicle, driven by Kristie Bryan, 19, of Sibley, was stopped behind Houston. According to Louisiana State Police, Bryan was hit from behind by a tow truck driven by Joshua Arceneaux, 33, of Haughton, pushing Bryan into Houston and off the roadway.

Bryan was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to a Shreveport hospital for treatment. Houston was treated at a local hospital for moderate injuries and Arceneaux was uninjured.

Toxicology samples were taken and have been submitted for analysis. The wreck continues to be under investigation.
