Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — A Shreveport woman is recovering from injuries this evening after she mishandled a fire arm.

Around 5:30 p.m., authorities were called to an accidental shooting on the 200 block of East 66th Street.

Officers contacted the victim who said that while mishandling a firearm the gun went off and shot her in the buttocks.

The woman suffered only minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
