Shreveport woman attacks man with butcher knife

A local woman is behind bars following a domestic dispute that turned violent.

At approximately 3:13 p.m. on July 16, 2012 Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 3900 block of Adrian Street relative to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted 32 year old Leedell Shelbon suffering from serious laceration to the hand. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered Shelbon and 33 year old Lakeisha Colvin were involved in some sort of domestic dispute at the residence on Adrian Street when Colvin allegedly attacked Shelbon with a butcher knife, cutting him on the hand. Shelbon was treated at the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department for what was described as a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives arrested Colvin, of the 3900 block of Adrian Street in Shreveport, a short time later and booked her into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated battery.
