Shreveport teen injured over weekend in early morning shooting

A teenager is recovering from a gunshot wound following an early morning shooting in Shreveport’s Cedar Grove neighborhood.

At approximately 2:40 a.m. on August 26, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Harrison Street relative to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a fifteen year old male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The juvenile victim was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives immediately responded and, upon further investigation, learned the victim was reportedly riding with a friend and was on the way home when someone started shooting at them while they were stopped at a stop sign near the 500 block of W. 83rd Street.
