Authorities are looking for the gunman who shot a man in west Shreveport last night.

At around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a local hospital to reports of a man who had been shot. When they arrived, medical personnel told officers that Jarvis Moore, 21, was suffering from a gunshot wound to his buttocks and had been dropped off by someone in a private vehicle. Moore is expected to recover from his injuries.

Moore told detectives he was walking in the 2500 block of Regent Street when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been shot. Moore said he did not see who fired the shots or where the shots came from, but he was able to give investigators the name of a potential suspect and they are following up on that lead at this hour.
