Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Police are looking for a teen they believe is responsible for shooting a woman in west Shreveport.17-year-old Eudarrius Gooden is suspected of shooting 23-year-old Jessica Bernard late last month.
Just after 10:00 p.m. on June 26, 2014, Shreveport Police responded to a reported shooting in the 6700 block of Buncombe Road. Upon arrival, patrolmen found Bernard suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Bernard was then taken to University Health Center by the Shreveport Fire Department with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators were notified and, based on information and evidence gathered during their investigation, believe Bernard and two other individuals were involved in selling narcotics when Gooden fired shots at the group, ultimately striking Bernard. Authorities obtained a warrant for Gooden’s arrest charging him with one count of aggravated second degree battery. His bond is set at $50,000.
