Shreveport, LA — Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a weekend shooting that has left a local man fighting for his life.
Just after 9:00 p.m. July 13, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to the 4200 block of Greenwood Lane relative to a man who had been shot there. Upon police arrival, contact was made with the victim in the person of 23 year old Will Rogers Robinson. Robinson, who was transported to LSUHSC, suffered what appeared to be two gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen. Preliminary reports suggests that Robinson's injuries could be potentially life-threatening.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives along with Crime Scene investigators arrived on scene at the crime launching their probes. Information was gathered that while in the parking lot of the Village Square apartments, at least one occupant inside what was described as a champagne colored pick up truck, fired multiple shots in the direction of Robinson, who was present at the complex at the time of the incident.
Following the shooting, the suspect vehicle was observed fleeing the parking lot traveling at a high rate of speed. At this stage of the inquiry, authorities are fully engaged in efforts to identify and apprehend those individuals responsible for this crime.
