Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Authorities have identified a Shreveport woman who died following a two car accident Wednesday evening in Shreveport.
Just after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, the Shreveport Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash that occurred in the 6200 block of West 70th Street involving two cars.
Upon officers arrival, it was learned that Juanita Donahue, 70, who had been driving one of the cars, died from injuries received after being involved in the collission.
Evidence recovered at the scene of the crash suggests that Donahue was traveling south bound in the 6900 block of Klug Pines Road approaching West 70th Street, when the driver of the the other car, Pauline Robertson, 66, of Shreveport, proceeded west bound along the 6200 block of West 70th Street. A subsequent T-bone collision occurred between the two vehicles during which time, Robertson's car impacted the driver's side of Donahue's vehicle.
Shreveport Fire Department personnel arrived on scene shortly after the accident at which time both drivers were transported to local hospitals. Donahue was pronounced deceased a short time later at LSUHSC.
Robertson, who was not seriously injured in the crash, was transported to an area hospital for standard toxicological testing as mandated by state law. While no exact cause of the accident has been established, crash investigators do not suspect alcohol as causative factor in the crash.
