Police detectives are working to identify and apprehend a pair of suspects who robbed an east Shreveport dollar store Thursday evening.

Just after 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Dollar General discount store located in the 8100 block of Line Avenue. Upon arrival, patrolmen learned two male suspects, both of whom were armed with handguns, entered the business, confronted an employee there and demanded money. The robbers received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene of the crime on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspects are described as black males, both approximately six feet tall, wearing all dark clothing and the Star Wars character, Darth Vader masks covering portions of their faces. Investigators are working at this time to determine if the robbery may be linked to an earlier robbery of the business that occurred on January 6, when a sole suspect entered the store armed with a hand gun, demanding and ultimately making off with cash. Investigators are still working to identify the suspect involved in that robbery as well as recover surveillance video footage from the business. Anyone who has any information regarding either crime is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockemup.org
