Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police are looking for two men accused of committing an armed at a local convenience store in west Shreveport this morning
Just after 3:00 a.m. on May 22, 2013, Shreveport Police responded to the Raceway gas station located in the 3700 block of Hearne Avenue relative to a reported armed robbery of the business.
Upon officers arrival there, contact was made with the store clerk who was suffering minor injuries after an alleged attack at the hands of two men who allegedly accosted him as he stood outside the front of store. The clerk, after being forced back inside the business, was assaulted by one of the men while the other suspect rummaged through the store's cash register taking his fill.
After making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, both suspects fled the business on foot. The men were described both as medium complexioned black males, approximately five feet nine inches, to five feet ten inches tall and weighing between 170 and 175 pounds, wearing dark colored jackets with fur around the hooded section, masks, and sunglasses.
The clerk, who was not seriously injured during the caper was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a laceration to the head.
Shreveport Police Robbery detectives along with Crime Scene investigators arrived on the scene launching and investigation into the robbery.
Authorities are working at this hour to attempt to identify and apprehend those persons responsible for this crime.
