Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police authorities are actively seeking the whereabouts of a suspect wanted in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred earlier this month.
Back on August 7, 2013, Shreveport Police officers responded to the 3500 block of Darien Street relative to reports of shots being fired in the area. Upon the arrival of officers, contact was made with an adult male victim along with several witnesses, who described the suspect as a dark skinned black male armed with a gun. Additional information was gathered indicating the victim was outside his home when he noticed the suspect hiding in some nearby brush. According to the victim, the suspect exited the bushes and began firing multiple rounds in his direction prior to fleeing on foot.
Shreveport Police investigators assigned to the case were able to gather evidence linking 18 year old Ravion Alford to the crime. Alford, of the 3000 block of Jackson Street in Shreveport, is now wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for attempted first degree murder. Bond in the matter has been set at $100,000.00.
