Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a local man in connection with a shooting that injured a Shreveport woman on Thursday.
On Friday, a warrant was procured for the arrest of Marc Scroggins, 21, of Shreveport, charging him with a single count of attempted second degree homicide.
Scroggins, following an investigation lead by Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives, was developed as a suspect in the May 2, 2013 shooting that seriously injured a woman who was struck by a stray bullet as she stood inside her home. The bullet that injured the woman was believed to have been fired by Scroggins.
It was during the course of the investigation, authorities were able to gather and secure evidence linking Scroggins to the crime. The warrant, secured by detectives, has an affixed bond amount of $100,000.
