Authorities are seeking the help of the public in identifying and apprehending suspects who robbed two west Shreveport businesses over the weekend.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Saturday, Shreveport patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Lil John’s Seafood Restaurant in the 7700 block of Linwood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers learned four men, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the eatery with their faces covered by bandannas. One of the men jumped the counter and opened the cash register removing the money tray. The robbers then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during this robbery.

Around 24 hours later, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Sunday, patrolmen responded to a reported armed robbery at the Valero in the 2000 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Upon arrival, officers learned a man, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, entered the establishment with a red bandanna covering his face and demanded money. The clerk advised the suspect had another bandanna over his right hand and acted as if he was concealing a weapon. The bandit received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene of the crime on foot. No one was injured during this robbery.

Detectives and crime scene investigators are working at this hour to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for these crimes. At this early stage in their ongoing inquiries, investigators are also trying to determine if these robberies are connected in any way.
