Authorities have identified a Shreveport woman who died following an early morning accident in west Shreveport.

On Thursday February 6, 2014, just before 1:00 a.m., members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of St. Vincent Avenue at Natalie Street. Upon officer’s arrival at the crash, it was learned the sole female occupant, identified as 55-year-old Nannatte C. Evans of Shreveport, died on scene as a result of injuries sustained after being partially ejected from the Ford F-150 pick-up she was operating.

Information and evidence recovered at the scene of the accident suggests Evan's vehicle left the roadway and rolled at least once, coming to rest on its roof. Though no exact cause of the accident has been established at this time, Crash investigators suspect excessive speed may have served as causative a factor in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
