Shreveport P.D. hiring new officers

The Shreveport Police Department is looking for a few good men and women.

The department is currently taking applications for police officers and jailors.

Recruiters were at the Wal-Mart on Bert Kouns Street today.

The police deparment says along with a good salary and great benefits, working for them offers people an opportunity to give something back to their community.

The application deadline is March 8th.
