Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — A man wanted by authorities in connection with a New Year's Day shooting is now in police custody following his arrest Sunday evening.
On Sunday, members of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force were successful in tracking down and arresting Shauncey Bates, 36, of Shreveport, who was wanted in connection with the January 1, shooting of Orlando Debrow, 40.
Debrow was reportedly shot following an argument between the two men while in the 2600 block of Lillian Street. Debrow, who survived the shooting, is expected to make a full recovery.
Following his arrest, Bates was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the outstanding warrant for his arrest charging him with a single count of attempted second degree murder. Bond in the matter has been set at $350,000.
