Shreveport man beaten at home after selling faking drugs to buyer

A Shreveport man is violently beaten after allegedly selling fake drugs to an unknown buyer Wednesday morning.

At around 8:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a house on the 4200 block of Luther Court to a medical emergency. When they arrived on scene, they found Kevin Dodson, 31, of Shreveport, suffering from injuries to his face. Dodson was taken to a local hospital by emergency crews with non life-threatening injuries.

The victim told authorities that he had been attacked after allegedly selling counterfeit drugs to a man, passing them off as real.

Once the man realized he had been duped, he returned and kicked down the front door and began to attack Dodson inside the home. Dodson told authorities that he did not know the identity of the man.

During the course of the investigation, several items consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics were found outside the house

Dodson is currently in stable condition.

Authorities are working at this hour to identify and catch the suspect in this violent attack.
