Shreveport man arrested in connection with city's latest homicide
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — A man accused of murder is now in police custody following his surrender to authorities on yesterday evening.
On Tuesday, Shreveport Police investigators arrested a man sought in connection with Shreveport's latest homicide. The man, identified as Raco Allen, 21, of Shreveport was linked to the shooting death of Jacoby Taylor, 25, back on August 17, 2013. Investigators had previously procured a warrant for the arrest of Allen, who now faces second degree murder charges.
Allen, who initially arrived at Caddo Correctional Center, was transported to Shreveport Police Headquarters where subsequent interviews were conducted by Violent Crimes detectives. Following interviews, Raco Allen was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on the outstanding warrant for his arrest. Allen's Bond has been set at $200,000.00.
