Shreveport man arrested for attempted robbery
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police have arrested a man after an attempted robbery early Monday morning.
It happened at 1:20 a.m. in the 900 block of West 70th Street. Shreveport Police patrol officers were called for an attempted robbery.
On arrival, officers found the female victim who had said she drove to the PS gas station unaware that the store was already closed.
As she was leaving the parking lot she was flagged down by a male suspect identified as Kenneth Garrison, 50.
The victim stopped and rolled her window down, that's when Garrison jumped into her window and began grabbing for items inside of the passenger's compartment of the vehicle and demanding money.
The victim resisted the attack and fought back to a point where she was able to get Garrison out of her vehicle.
Garrison ran to Fox Creek Apartments and the victim followed him and watched him enter an apartment.
Police arrived a short time later and took Garrison into custody.
Garrison was booked into Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple robbery.
