Shreveport man arrested on 50 counts of child porn

A Shreveport man has been arrested and charged with 50 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles, announced the Louisiana Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit.

61-year-old Paul Allen Baker, of 1330 Summers Street, was arrested yesterday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Bossier City Marshall’s Office, and the Shreveport Police Department.

Baker is charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and faces up to 20 years in prison on each count if convicted.

As internet crimes escalate, Attorney General Buddy Caldwell is allocating resources to vigorously monitor, arrest, and prosecute online child predators. The Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit has investigated thousands of computer crimes which have victimized children from infants to 17 years of age.
