Shreveport man accused of attempted murder in nightclub shooting

Authorities have obtained an arrest warrant for a man who allegedly shot another person in the neck at a Shreveport nightclub over the weekend.

On Tuesday,  a warrant was procured for the arrest Bryan Stewart, 19, of Shreveport, charging him with attempted second degree murder. Stewart was developed as a suspect in the December 8 shooting of Jawilli Rayon, 27, following an alleged argument between the two men inside the Koko Pellis nightclub located in the 400 block of Commerce Street.

When emergency crews responded to the scene after reports of the shooting, Rayon was found with a single gunshot wound to his neck and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

After talking to witnesses and checking surveillance video from the business, authorities were able to link Stewart to the shooting of Jawilli Rayon.
