Shreveport audit update

Shreveport, La — The City of Shreveport hired an independent auditor to look into its financial advisor, Grigsby & Associates, about several hundred thousand dollars of questionable charges.
Frank Neuner, the Lafayette based auditor got back to the city council and advised them that they should ask for $8,900 back from Grigsby & Associates because of overpayments.
According to the Mayor's Office Communications Director, Rod Richardson, there were also some underpayments as well. The auditor didn't express if the $8,900 figure was a net amount or if the underpayments weren't figured into that figure.
The Mayor's Office is now looking into the report and will present their views and findings at the next council meeting.
