Monday night, just before 11, Shreveport Police were called out to the Daiquiri Express on Pines Rd in West Shreveport. Two men entered the store, both wearing what appeared to be ski masks, attempting to rob the business. One of the men was carrying a shotgun, or similar type of gun.

The robbers ran off without any money when an employee grabbed a handgun from underneath the register and chased after the would-be robbers.

There is a large sign on the front door that says that the register has only $50 max. At the time of this robbery, there was only $43 in the register. This is the second time in 6 months that this Daiquiri Express has been targeted for a robbery.

Shreveport Police won't say if they believe this robbery is related to the string of shotgun robberies plaguing the area, but the will say that they feel "confident" that in a least some of the robberies, and arrest is "imminent".
