Bossier City, LA — Shared Harvest Community Kitchen got to reap the rewards of weeks planning and days prepping for their big Thanksgiving dinner, when hundred of hungry people came to celebrate the holiday.
And while it could have been hard finding volunteers willing to give up their Thanksgiving, Shared Harvest had no problem finding volunteers, and there were even some children that were willing to give up their holiday to help those less fortunate.
The care and hard work of the volunteers didn't go unnoticed by guests of the kitchen, who were touched by the effort made to make their day special. And of course loved the delicious (and healthy) food as well.
Shared Harvest Community Kitchen operates all year long, serving dinner to the needy Monday-Thursday. They are always looking for volunteers and donations. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
