Shreveport, LA — Clyde Fant Parkway from Crockett Street to Stoner Avenue will be closed Saturday, Sept. 7, to make way for the most colorful 5k run of the year.
The Run or Dye Color Run is designed to bring friends and families together for a safe, colorblasted trek where runners get showered in eco-friendly, plant-based cornstarch dye every kilometer. After the race, participants will gather at Festival Plaza to ``Tie-Dye the Sky.’’
Motorists, however, will need to find alternate routes along that stretch of Clyde Fant, which will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lake Street will only be accessible for Run or Dye parking in the Railroad UP Lot and Sci Port visitors.
Police officers will be on hand to direct and divert traffic.
