Camp Minden, LA — Louisiana State Police's Hazmat team started moving the M6 propellant at Camp Minden on December 1.
Now, 20 days later they are still only about 2/3 of the way finished moving more than 6 million pounds of illegally stored explosives.
But for them, the time spent moving the explosives isn't a worry. While they wanted to work as safe and as fast as possible while the residents of Doyline were evacuated, now that they are back in their homes, safety is the main priority.
And in that regard, they are pleased with their work. There haven't been any injuries or unforeseen issues while moving the explosives.
