Rocking out at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame

Thursday, February 14, 2013 - 7:35am

Nashville may be known as the Capitol of Country Music, but the small town on Carthage can hold its own. Carthage is the home of Tex Ritter, Jim Reeves and Linda Davis. And country stars from Texas; the list is to long to even imagine.

As sad as it is to admit it, I knew who John Ritter was, but I wasn't as familiar with his dad. But cousin, Tommie Ritter Smith cleared it up for me when she compared him to Justin Timberlake, being in all different types of entertainment.

Always one to enjoy people that write songs named after me, of course I know Willie Nelson, but I had no idea he was from Texas. And he wasn't the only person I learned was from Texas. I could list everybody in the museum, but that might ruin the surprise. Instead, check out the museum and see for yourself.
