
Bossier City/Shreveport — Bossier City authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a thief who was caught on camera back in May.
The bandit stole a woman's purse from a shopping cart, then used her checkbook to make more than $1,000 in unauthorized purchases. The theft happened on May 28 at the Walmart in the 2500 block of Airline Drive.
The burglar made the purchases at the Walmart on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway in Shreveport. The woman and her vehicle were caught on security cameras. The thief is described as a middle aged white woman with dark brown hair. She was driving a late model burgundy or maroon colored 4-door Chrysler New Yorker.
Anyone who can help police identify the suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a web or text tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website – www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
Bossier Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $255 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
