Providence House celebrates Mardi Gras

Just like most people in the Arklatex have been celebrating Mardi Gras by holding and attending parades, the same is true for Shreveport's Providence House.

The non-profit works to help people get their lives back on track after they have been abused or homeless. While the parade may sound like just a fun gesture, it is actually helpful in providing normalcy, especially for the children.

Executive Director, Simone Hennessee believes Mardi Gras is about life, redemption, grace and compassion; all of which happen to fall into the values of Providence House as well.
