Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Just like most people in the Arklatex have been celebrating Mardi Gras by holding and attending parades, the same is true for Shreveport's Providence House.
The non-profit works to help people get their lives back on track after they have been abused or homeless. While the parade may sound like just a fun gesture, it is actually helpful in providing normalcy, especially for the children.
Executive Director, Simone Hennessee believes Mardi Gras is about life, redemption, grace and compassion; all of which happen to fall into the values of Providence House as well.
