Police: Shreveport woman kidnapped at gunpoint by ex

Law enforcement is searching for a man after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers were called to a house in the 1400 block of Doris Street on reports of a kidnapping. Police learned there a woman was taken by her ex-boyfriend at gunpoint and forced into a silver sedan and driven away from the area.

During an investigation of the crime, the alleged kidnapper reportedly returned to the victim's home and dropped of the woman. The victim suffered a minor injury after allegedly being beaten by the suspect.

SPD said the man was last seen armed with a rifle and driving what has been described as a silver or gray colored, four door vehicle, believed to be a newer model Chevrolet Malibu.
