Police investigate Capital One bank robbery

 The Bossier City Police Department is looking for a suspect who robbed the Capital One Bank in the 2000 block of Airline Drive Monday morning.

Officers arrived on scene within minutes after receiving a call from the bank and immediately began searching the area where the suspect was last seen. A police K-9 aided patrol officers in the search but they were unable to locate the man.

Witnesses told police, just before 10:00 a.m., the alleged thief entered the bank with a handgun and his face covered. The armed man approached the counter and robbed a customer of money at gunpoint and then demanded money from the teller. The bank employee handed over money and the suspect left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.
