Police arrest man accused of shooting ex-girlfriend

A Shreveport man is in jail after his arrest for shooting at a local woman earlier this month.

On May 5, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to a convenience store in the 4300 block of Linwood Avenue after hearing reports of shots being fired at that location.

Upon arrival, police found the victim who told officers she was show at moments earlier by her ex-boyfriend.

Authorities learned that the woman, who was no injured during the incident had left her ex-boyfriend and arrived at the In and Out convenience store located on Linwood Avenue.

A Shreveport man lands in jail following his arrest for allegedly shooting at a local woman earlier this month.

The woman's ex-boyfriend, Jarvis Stewart, 25, followed her to the store from another location, armed himself with a gun, and fired multiple times at the victim's vehicle.

Stewart fled the scene before officers arrived on scene.

Today, Shreveport Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that Stewart was riding in.

Stewart was then arrested and taken into custody without incident and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a warrants for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Both charges were stemmed from Stewart's actions on May 5, 2013 while at the In and Out convenience store.
